Description

BOEOTIA. Thespiai. Circa 210 BC. (Bronze, 16 mm, 3.95 g, 12 h). Head of female (Arsinoe III) to right, wearing modius and veil. Rev. ΘΕΣΠΙ-ΕΩΝ Lyre and legends within a wreath. BCD Boiotia 611. HGC 4, 1408. SNG Copenhagen 406-407. Green patina. Nearly very fine.
From the collection of John Aiello and that of BCD, acquired from a certain 'Dr. P.' in June 1976.
