Note: An extremely rare and sought-after bust with a pugio/parazonium (ceremonial dagger) in the emperor's left hand.
This is likely the third specimen of this variety in private hands. The second is in Mike Vosper's Probus collection, and the third is auctioned at the Kolner Munzkabinett (auction 121, lot 1302) = ex Lanz, Auktion 86, 1998, lot 694.
