Auction House, Individuals, Dealers... can now be linkable objects in NumisVault

SOURCES

Adding "SOURCES" as Objects in NumisVault (ie. Dealers, Famous Collection(s), Auction Houses, Individuals, Marketplace, Others)

What are Sources?

  • Sources are linked to Provenance(s) objects (Eg. "BCD Collection", "Classical Numismatics Group (CNG)", "Alex Malloy")

Why?

  • You can track all coins that are from CNG, BCD, Alex Malloy

  • You can track spending associated with specific auction houses/dealers using the "This Provenance is my purchase" checkbox

How do I upgrade my plain text provenances? I inputted hundreds!

  • Don't worry a great new tool under "Your Coins -> Manage Provenance(s)" will recommend and make updating them super EASY!

  • You can manage your "Sources" under "Your Coins -> Manage Sources" . Over 100 "Community" ones already exist, of which you can derive your own copies AUTOMATICALLY when you select them!

1. Example here of Manage Provenance where it automatically recommends linking known auction houses to each provnenace, if that doesn't exist you can just Edit provenance inline here via popup- should be quick!

Example of the popup a for linking source where it removes the duplicate plain text and fills out the source Example here where on a show-coin, now linked, you can click on Leu Numismatik to see all coins you have provenance from, purchased or not directly from them

Each "Source" you add will get your own Private "Your Coins from this Source" page, so you can track all your Leu or Ex: BCD Coins

When adding Provenance in Add Coin, you can Create new ones on the fly

AUCTION TRACKING

PART 2 of Sources Update.... AUCTION TRACKING and AUTO INTAKE Now that NumisVault has a standard Auction House System, you can track your Auction planning.. cleanly

  1. Plan out how much your budget is

  2. Add your lots, estimate, view in multi-currency.. automatically converted in real time.

  3. Edit the plan later

  4. Go live on auction day and track Win/Loss and watch budgets change in real time

  5. Once the Results are finalized, automatically add them to your NumisVault... all provenance/prices automatically filled in

Also fun- shipping it calculated per lot from auction house cost is pro-rated to cost of coin % of the lot - so it shows the relative cost to ship a coin

1. Set a Budget and currency, and add your lot(s) (you can add them later via edit plan)

2. View plan, from your list of many auction plan(s)

3. When the Auction goes live it can act as a companion to your to mark and re-adjust your budget and max-spend available in real time

4. Example of auction spend

5. When you finalize your wins, automatically intake them into your collection, with all details filled out in the provenance and spend section

6. Example of a coin created from the auction intake after winning. Automatically filling out all provenance and fee breakdowns.

Example of the List auction view with many auction plans

I had this auction track software build on a git branch back in December, but without this "Sources" system it felt gross, wasteful, etc. Now it feels clean. Finally released it. Let me know what you think!
